DLE

My daughter is the poster child for the Little Einsteins.  She owns everything the Disney store produces Little Einsteins.  She knows all the shows by heart.  She watches it each morning religiously.  She carries around her Rocket backpack with the "team" inside.  They "pat, pat pat" their way into motion.  She brings the Little Einsteins into every conversation.  She often wakes up singing the theme song.  She knows all the ingredients in "rocket soup," and her favorite episode is "Rocket's Firebird Rescue."

Why then can I not give her the satisfaction of a Little Einsteins birthday party?  Apparently all Little Einsteins party paraphernalia was discontinued over the summer right down to the cake "template" at cakes.com.

Of course it's copyright infringement to have a picture printed on the cake even though we're just going to EAT IT!

So what is a mom left to do?  Rant and complain about it.  I know from experience that Disney could care less.  I've written to them before regarding other issues and not received so much as a form response.

Instead, we'll have to make do with a Jay Jay The Jet Plane cake and ghetto quasi-Little Einsteins trinkets gleaned off the Disney Clubhouse "Parents Corner" website.

I have seen some amazingly creative parents though who have made their own cakes.  I myself are neither that creative nor that crazy to spend so much time in the kitchen.

Check out Andrea's Recipes blog and Christi P.'s cake.

Sugarcat Cakes is charging $120 for a cake, can you believe that?!  I'm not desperate enough to pay that amount of money for a cake either!

Or you can buy the lame cake topper from Ebay Express.

If by chance anyone from Disney is reading this, I want to say to you that for whatever monetary reason you had to pull The Little Einsteins off the shelves, you're ruining thousands of little children's birthdays by doing it.  Look what you've done?  You suck, Disney!

Ok, now I feel better.  I say everyone boycott Disney for a month, so they will bring back Little Einsteins to our party store shelves!
