Random thoughts...

BG, my three year old, made poopies in the potty this morning, ALL BY HERSELF!

Of course she still needed wiping and a new pull-up, but I'm perfectly OK with that.
Now if it would only stick!

BG has been bugging me for a scarf.  I wear one, so of course she wanted one too.  I've been reluctant to get her one due to the whole chocking hazard thing...  But yesterday, I finally conceded.  Naturally, she picked the longest children's scarf they had in the store and it doesn't even come close to matching her jacket!  But as soon as we paid for it, I wrapped it around her little neck and she was beaming with so much pride that it made the entire trip worthwhile.

So, what's with the pinching?  Lately, when he's nursing, Buddy just starts pinching me, wherever he can find skin!  I don't remember if she ever did that but it's annoying!  And two days ago he chomped down on me for no reason.  That little tooth he's got coming in hadn't pierced the gum yet or we both would've been crying.  So, I guess that's what I have to look forward to in the next few days.

He's been eating cereal now and peas and carrots.  I'm so glad the little bug is finally eating... now I just need to get him to take formula straight up and we'll be all set.  I bought some milk-based formula and mixed it into his cereal as a test.  A few hours later he was spitting up green stuff.   I hadn't started him on the peas yet then.  So, I think we can hold off on the milk for now.

It seems like the entire country is getting hit by snow yet all we get is cold temperatures and no snow!  BG walks around the house with her boots on saying "the snow is coming."  It's becoming her little snow dance mantra.  Yesterday, it snows for like 20 minutes.  When I arrived to pick her up from school, she ran up to me and in a disappointed voice said, "the snow stopped, momma."  So, mother nature, if you're reading this, please send us some snow.

Be careful what you wish for right?

So, did you hear that Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend, Brazilian model Camila Alves, are expecting a baby?!

If you can believe it, the snow dance worked! It snowed today - that perfect snowball and snowman snow. Unfortunately, everyone was at work/school and tonight it's going to rain and ruin everything... Thanks, mother nature, for the nice reprieve.

So I probably shouldn't mention that the majority of the time here the temperatures run between 60 and 80 degress? ;-p
