Amazing Grace
I got suckered back into being a Netflix member... and we rented the movie "Amazing Grace."
It was a bit slow, as period movies can be, but I enjoyed it. I like the actors, I'm a history buff, and I was in the mood for a good movie!
A lot of the movie has stuck with me. However, the one thing that is still staying with me is the word, calumny.
Calumny n, according the the Merriam-Webster dictionary, means:
1: a misrepresentation intended to harm another's reputation
2: the act of uttering false charges or misrepresentation maliciously calculated to harm another's reputation
I have not heard this word in years and I can't get it out of my head.
