A great way to save a tree or two...
Lately, I've been really good about remembering my green grocery bags. I even take one to the library now since BG always wants to bring home every single book she can get her hands on.I even bought the Hubby a green bag; now he has to remember to take it with him!
But, I still haven't been feeling like I've been doing enough. So, I figured out a way to do more. I've been doing my banking online for many years now but we still get a ton of paper from the bank on a monthly basis. They send us statements, transfer notices, direct withdrawal notifications... We have to be killing a tree just by ourselves. So, today, I signed up for e-statements; I turned off the paper on all my accounts!
Online statements are actually more secure than getting your statements via the mail. You are the only one who has the password, it's usually done on your computer at home and most banks now have a highly secure way to maintain your information.
Join me in turning off the paper and save a tree or two!
BTW, Happy National Reading Day (March 2), in remembrance of Dr. Suess's birthday!
