Home away from home

I recently added this new feature to my blog called the Shelfari; like it  (scroll down)?!

I was so proud of it that I kept refreshing just to look at it again.  It's crazy how my blog has become my home away from home.  It's my nice, tidy place where I can organize my thoughts and feelings.  A place where if I leave the mail on the table no one moves it to the recesses of the mail bin.  Where I can walk around in my slippers and eat ice cream at two in the afternoon and no one will judge me.

I have all the important things I need - my favorite books, blogs, and stories.  What more could a girl ask for?

Since I've started blogging I've been discovering how many blogs are out in the world.  Let me tell you, you cannot possibly imagine.  I would say one in three people has a blog on the World Wide Web.  That is A LOT of reading.  That is so much reading in fact, that it is physically impossible to read all of it even if you never stopped to eat or sleep ever again; you still couldn't read it all.

Isn't that incredible to fathom?

I asked Hubby the other day to explain to me, in layman's terms, how the internet works.  This is my interpretation of what he said:  Basically, it's a bunch of networks that are connected throughout the world.  Imagine two networks and a million strings connected from one to the other.  It's that multiplied by a million gazillion strings and networks.  Isn't that just amazing?!

So here I am telling you all about how wonderful the world of blog is and how much I love it... so where have I been all weekend long?!

Outdoors!  I love being outdoors even more than I love my blog; if that's possible!  This weekend we went to a local animal farm and checked out the livestock.  There were piglets, bunnies, calves, chicks, and ducklings.  They even had a peacock.  And I was so happy to be outside that I forgot to take my camera...

Then on Sunday, after church, I hauled the kids around the neighborhood in the bike trailer.  BG had a blast, Buddy, on the other hand, was ready to have me committed.  I was so happy last year when we finally bought the two-seater trailer but I knew that I couldn't take a newborn in it.  Now that he can sit up by himself, he still could careless.  O well.

So, that's my story about our weekend.  I'm happy Spring is finally here!  Next week we go visit the in-laws at  Mountain Quest!!  Isn't it gorgeous?!  Talk about a home away from home!  BG loves going there!!!

BG is sooo excited that she asks me everyday, "Are we going to West Virginia yet?"

She tells her teachers and classmates, ad nauseam, that she's going to go ride horses and visit with Nana.  I only hope that Super Dog doesn't get diarrhea again on this trip and that Nana can tear herself away from Buddy long enough to pay attention to her grand daughter.

Happy May everybody!  We are giddy with joy at Mommy Wizdom's house!
