The Wrong End

I dropped it.  My camera.  On concrete.  And it bounced.  I almost cried had a heart attack.  But ever since then, the macro capability has worked better.

Perhaps I knocked something back into place...  Nothing else seems to be wrong.  So for now, I'll take it.

I was walking around here just looking for stuff to photograph and this crazy looking bug landed near me.  I took the picture as fast I could before it flew away.  It wasn't moving so I just kept snapping.  I was above it but I didn't want to scare it away so I took pictures of the end that was closest to me.

It wasn't until it started to walk away (ok, run away really) that I realized I'd gotten a photo of...

the wrong end.  And, yes, you're right about what it was doing with that end... (he-hee).

I've done some searching and I thought it was a Colorado Potato Beetle (CPB ), however, the CPB does not have a tail and I was not in Colorado (I don't know how relevant that really is with bugs).

Ironically, when I was taking these pictures, I thought of Lisa's blog since she always has really cool pictures of bugs on it... maybe someone can identify this bug for me?
