Why Re-Invent the Wheel?

Here are a couple of "Oldies but Goodies" posts appropriate for this time of year!

The first is on cooking up your own pumpkin seeds.

The second is my favorite cookie recipe in the world, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Mmmn, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!  I gotta go bake a batch!

We carved our pumpkins today... and we have double the dose of seeds because this year we had to do two pumpkins, one for each kid.

Last year Buddy was just not sentient enough; but this year he surely would have noticed!

The weather was nice today, so we carved our pumpkins outside (and it's a good thing we did - boy is it messy!)!

BG was enjoying looking through the pattern book!  She decided she wanted to have a turtle so I had to make one on the fly.  It seems I need to work on carving out the head a little better - it's more visible below.  The smiley face just makes me happy and reminds me of Buddy, so that's what he got... although he probably would have requested a car or a train!

How did we do?!  Not bad huh?  They enjoyed it and by the end of it, we all had pumpkin in our hair and in our ears.

Do you have pictures of your pumpkins?  Feel free to put up your link - I'll post them below this post for all to see!
