Thankful
Well, I almost made it... I missed one day. In the scheme of things, I don't think that's too bad (re: NaBloPoMo).
I had a crazy week last week. I had the opportunity to meet and talk to some amazing people and to learn their stories...
Those conversation spurred on this post.
The grass is always greener on the other side. Being married and having small kids, I sometimes envy my single friends who are able to come and go as they please at will; who don't have to wipe snotty noses and tushies and chocolate covered chins. Yet, what I don't realize is that they in turn, envy me. For having someone to come home to every night. For having someone else to care for and to love me and hold my heart as their own.
As part of my new year's resolutions this year I've decided to focus on the positive, not the negative.
With that said, these are some of the major things for which I am most grateful. I thought I'd wrap up my 28 days of February NaBloPoMo with 28 things that I'm grateful for...

With that said, these are some of the major things for which I am most grateful. I thought I'd wrap up my 28 days of February NaBloPoMo with 28 things that I'm grateful for...
- My faith in God.
- My family; all of them.
- My friends.
- The fact that I'm employed.
- My health - that I can walk, jump and run all on my own.
- My experiences; both good and bad.
- The skill that I possess.
- Our home.
- My limitations - all of them; financial, physical, and mental.
- Compassion.
- The fact that I'm bilingual.
- Avon. The relationships I'm building through Avon and my ability to make extra money by selling products I love.
- Music
- The seasons
- Freedom - all freedoms
- The fact that I've learned to surrender.
- Books
- My mentors
- Poetry
- Drums
- Sleep
- Chocolate
- My blog and my readers (all two of you).
- Forgiveness - The fact that I've learned how to forgive.
- Grace
- Night diapers
- Ice Cream
- The internet

It's nice to be reminded to be thankful. My pastor told me today that I have 200 maids in my house - my washing machine, my water-heater, my dishwasher, etc. You get the idea. I've never looked at it that way. Another thing(s) for which to be thankful.
