Keep practicing. I haven't given up on baking...unlike you I do ok at cooking but baking is my nemesis. I've baked many bricks. They turn into great bread puddings though. ;-)

oh yeah my kids do these too! I too find them burrowed into the carpet (usually when I have bare feet, ouch) and under beds and everywhere.

They are great as a project to keep the kids busy for awhile, but then once they are made the kids don't do anything with them and they inevitably get thrown away.

They are definitely fun in the "it's the journey not the destination" sense of fun.

My daughters loved these things! I'd only pull them out every once in a while to try to keep them fun. I bet your kiddos will come back around if you put the beads away for a while then get them back out. Here's hoping!

I've been addicted to Hoarders recently. I believe it's because I think I could easily become one. Have you watched the show? A few years ago, I stumbled onto a site called Flylady. She has a very simple system to help you "clear your clutter. For a while I followed it & it really worked for me. Part of what she helps with is preventing you from burning out & figuring out why the clutter is there in the first place. All, so you can take better care of yourself. After I had baby #2 & life happened & when I probably needed it most I stopped doing it so much. I didn't stop all of it, but I'm back to trying to take my own advice and get things cleared out & cleaned up. Anyway, I think you should check her site out; google flylady.net
It really, really does work.
